Folk art painting has a rich history, rooted in traditional decorative techniques used to adorn furniture, walls, and household objects with beautiful, nature-inspired designs. This timeless art form is known for its simple yet striking brushstrokes, making it accessible to painters of all skill levels. In this beginner-friendly session, you’ll learn a few basic folk art brushstrokes and use them to create your own hand-painted slate coaster, choosing between a delightful daisy motif or a whimsical dragonfly design. No painting experience? No problem! This workshop is designed for complete beginners, and all materials are provided—just bring your enthusiasm! Adults only. No prior painting experience needed—just come ready to have fun and create!

Deposit when booking is required to hold your place. If, due to unforseen circumstances, you are unable to attend, please contact us. Generally we do not offer refunds but may be able to refund you if your place is taken by someone on the waitlist. In order to create beautiful prints it is necessary to put pressure on the hands and feet. Whilst every effort is made to ensure discomfort is kept to a minimum young children and babies are sometimes upset by the process. Ashes & Oak, Ruth Burrows Art Shop & Studio, or any of its employees will not be held responsible for any upset or injury caused or perceived to have been caused as a result of taking prints. Your Clay memories will be ready approximately 3 weeks following the taking of prints.
